I watched The Lost Boys (1987) when I was 12 and that’s why I am the way that I am now. After graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with my Bachelors in Fine Art and a minor in Art History, I like to use my education to talk about the media I love (and also hate). As a nocturnal soul, I’ve always been drawn to the gothic and fantastical, whether in fashion, music, film, or more. Seeing Aaliyah as Akasha permanently shifted something in my brain, and I fully committed to the night, black cat and all. As I pursue my bachelor’s in communications, I want to use what I’m learning to curate a space to uplift perspectives that are often overlooked and blab about my specific interests.
